We’re Raising Money for Early Breast Cancer Detection!
It’s time for our yearly breast cancer awareness event! This year we are participating in the Barbells for Boobs fundraising campaign, an event to raise money for early breast cancer detection. This will be our first year joining in this amazing display of athletics, unity and fun, all while focusing on raising money for the early detection of breast cancer.
As a plastic surgeon in Scottsdale, Dr. Brown performs a lot of breast reconstruction surgery following breast cancer treatment. It’s one of the more gratifying surgeries because he knows he’s giving back power and confidence to someone who’s been through so much. But he wants to do more for those suffering from breast cancer in Arizona and bring awareness to the importance of early breast cancer detection.

We’re putting together a group of passionate people, eager to raise money for a great cause. ‘Dr. Brown’s Recon Mission’ team will bring fire and personality to the event! Whether you are an experienced crossfitter or have never stepped foot in a Box, there will be something for everyone.

Donations can be made on our Barbells for Boobs fundraising website. We hope to reach our goal of $1,000 raised by the event on October 4th. For every $80 donated, one more person will know if they’re living with breast cancer. For a $40 donation, you will be able to participate in the Barbells For Boobs workout (one barbell workout or one strength workout) and receive a Dr. Brown’s Recon Mission Tshirt (always very cool).

On October 4th, we will be joining other athletes and other people passionate about breast cancer awareness and early breast cancer detection at Crossfit Blur in Scottsdale. Our team will perform exercises in order to raise donations. We are extremely excited to join this wonderful event with so many other people who share the same passion for spreading breast cancer awareness.
